Richfield Garden
Club Council
Another year is upon us and as the January 2012 temperatures reach record highs, one cannot stop to ponder what effect the lack of snow will have on our gardens. As the winter unfolds, and as the February storms hit us, that may be a needless worry! Time will tell...
2011 was indeed an exciting year for the Richfield Garden Club with interesting, informative programs, really fun field trips and as always, connecting with our good friends on a regular basis.
2012 promises to provide the same adventures with new programs and new opportunities to learn. We have planned exciting programs that will help us to take care of ourselves as well as our gardens. There will be field trips to nurseries, gardens and displays that will not only trill us with their possibilities but also teach us to include their ideas in our own gardens.
With the national emphasis on health and economy, the Richfield Garden Club is in a unique spot to lead on ways to grow healthy food in an economical way. The Blue Cross/Blue Shield "Do The City" campaign is looking for Community Groups to promote the idea of healthy eating and exercise in order to have a more fit community. What better way to do just that than gardening!
